Think that's it's common name....pain on inside of elbow, burning almost stinging sensation at times. Particularly if curling my arm with some pressure on it. I had 2 weeks off at xmas but no improvement. Can't rest it because I'm self employed

So ibuprofen? And if so for how long. Does it take a few doses to achieve the anti inflammatory effect,if that's what's required?

Any other tips?

Take a look at this, it worked for me.

I used a red flex bar. Was about £20 from Amazon.

I’ve had this, it may not be what you wanted to hear but I ended up needing to see a specialist and two steroid injections over a couple of months to sort mine. Even then it took ages to be completely back to normal.

The longer you leave it the longer the recovery.

Flexbars really do work, though, and are inexpensive.

I know its off the wall but I found something that solved my bicep tendonitis that I had had for years and often flared after weight training https://www.wodfitters.com/products/wodfitters-flo... you wrap them around the area and flex for a couple of minutes twice a day for a couple of minutes ,its very uncomfortable your forearm blows up as you do it.Its all about getting the blood in there

I used floss bands too. You can get them quite cheaply on amazon.

This is quite a good read - https://www.t-nation.com/training/tendonitis-cure

and this - http://stevenlow.org/overcoming-tendonitis/

The thing with 'tendonitis' is that it happens in stages, and the longer you ignore it the further it progresses.

I don't want to sound like an advert, but there is a free sports injury drop in clinic specifically related to golfing injuries in HArrogate coming up at the Nuffield Gym, might be worth a look for some insight into the injury and recovery?
