Dry eyes - gadget/machine needed.

I need to find a gadget/machine that will make the air in the house damper.

Thought about just bowls of water but I'd prefer some kind of gadget that pumps water into the air.

Is such a thing available?

Any other thoughts very gratefully received.

Humidifier was the answer that I couldn't remember/think.

I liked the reptile answer and will look into it more. Edit or maybe not, but thanks for the thought.

I asked for our son who is fighting cancer and some of the drugs give him very dry eyes.

So a really big thanks for all, well not quite all, suggestions.
