The left outside edge of my left knee feels like something's going to snap, particularly on stairs. I suppose it's a warning sign to stop carrying heavy awkward items up and down stairs all day long, but to stop doing that means stopping work and that's not likely... unless the knee stops me!
So what's likely to be causing the pain and can I give it some support to help it recover?

get it checked out ultimately, however a decent knee brace can help a lot.
I've had problems on and off with both knees for years from snowboarding...i have one of these kicking about for when i tweak myself-

50 notes and will provide a lot of extra support, providing you don't wear spray on skinny jeans it should fit under trousers too.
