Has anyone else suffered this? Did mine last Saturday playing a veteran 5 aside game. Luckily the tendon is still springy and my muscle hasn't contracted but my god it's painful. Not left the house all week bar the visit to the health centre. How long before I might walk unaided, anyone any experience?

Done it a couple of times in the last 3 years. Rest is key for the first few days. Took me about 2 -3 weeks before I could climb the stairs comfortably without 'feeling it'. Important thing is that you haven't done the achilles.

Thanks and agree - the tendon would have been another thing altogether. Have you taken preventative measures to avoid it happening since?
