Athlean X programs
Discussion
Has anyone else used any Athlean x programs, if so did you get any results?
After a few years of fairly low activity I joined a gym at the start of the year and cleaned up my diet and have dropped a stone, down to 11st 8lb at 6 foot. Since joining the gym I have gained a bit more strength and a slight bit more definition.
I have been watching Jeff Cavilier's YouTube content and liked what I saw as it seems more geared to getting an athletic look with some increased mobility rather than just getting crazy bulked, so went for his "introductory" AX 1 program.
Only 3 days in so can't really pass much judgement yet, but how have others found AX programs?

If you are untrained then you’d be best off starting with a beginners program. I started on stronglifts 5x5. It’s simple, the app is free and it’ll get your base strength up in about 6 weeks to 3 months.
It is strength vs bodybuilding but for a beginner it makes no difference really.

I really like Jeffs style and have been following and doing his workouts for a couple of months now.
I like that's its "athlete" based and not just another, "lets get big and heavy/slow, blah, blah.)
It suits my physique and style much more but as always, the diet part is the hardest!
I am not exactly following the meal plan given in the program, I am using it more of a guideline. Recently I have cut out almost all processed food and sugar and am really enjoying tasty whole foods! The volume of food you can eat once you ditch all the crap is quite alot, but can be time consuming!I like that's its "athlete" based and not just another, "lets get big and heavy/slow, blah, blah.)

As you say his workouts keep things varied so I am looking forward to seeing any progress.
