High liver function

Requested a full blood count including coeliac from my GP after suffering from on/off IBS like symptoms over the past two months or so.
Anyway, bloods were taken just so when I happened to be ill with a sinus infection. Discussed results with doc and coeliac test was negative, but liver functions ALP & ALT were high, just under twice the upper limit. Been asked to have a repeat test in a few weeks time.
Quite perplexed as doc doesn’t seem too concerned but I’m 26, don’t drink, not overweight. Anyone been in a similar situation?

At the time I was taking paracetamol and decongestant tablets multiple times a day. Kind of does make sense..lay off them for a bit and have another test and see if the levels have dropped (sounds like you are doing this anyway)

The reason i asked was that I was taking eight 200mg Paracetamol a day and eight Ibuprofen a day for an extended period due to a hernia i was pretending i didn't have and had a full set of bloods and had elevated liver levels as a result (despite being a non-drinker).
