Weightlifters... Flakey hands?
Discussion
As with anyone who uses free weights etc, I've always accepted it's normal to get callouses from free weights, it's been fine until now, but as I've upped the weights and activity over the last 9 months, and I've started to notice my calloused hands are increasingly becoming flakey.
Frankly, it's not a great look, and I'm not sure the ladies love a man whose touch is like being grazed lightly with sandpaper.
It's a pretty girly question for you big weightlifters, but I differ to your expertise, are you moisturising?
Is there anyway I can condition the skin a bit more? Or is it a case of gloves or this?
"Captains of crush" grips by the way... So addictive... but wreck your skin!

Same as the above, calluses have started to get very painful now I'm hitting some bigger numbers and also the sides of my hands seem to be flaking. Just picked up some gloves as I read a few horror stories of ripped off calluses which became infected or unable to train.
