Decisions, when to have the knee op?

So 4 years ago I tore my cartilage (lateral and horn) was told to leave the operation until it is unbearable!!!

I moved house the other week, it swelled up and the joint feels like it is constituted of rubber bands that are grating on each other.

The knee is bearable mostly but at what point do you decide to operate as I feel that it is compromising my lifestyle and fitness?

I have a similar knee thing

For most of the time its fine but it does flare up now and again and causes me a lot of grief

If/when the flares become more regular and start to piss me off I'll go and see a surgeon

In the meantime Im OK with it
