Tailor made suit due to swollen legs

Hi All,

Not 100% a health question here....
So I normally wear M and S suits (blazer/trousers). 2 years ago, I got leg swelling due to a condition which means that trousers are tight (for one leg).

I doubt these can be altered.

Is there an affordable suit tailor in London that can custom make a suit? I found one but at approx £500 (maybe my expectations need resetting) but that's a lot of money to pay just because one leg is big(ger).

Could you buy bigger trousers and have them taken in in one leg/around the waist etc?

Hmm well bigger trousers are still too tight around the legs. I already wear relaxed fit suits.

Why does it have to be a suit, can you not get tailored trouser and buy a jacket to suit?

I could, if I can find a blazer to match the trousers 100%.

Realistically, £500 would be very cheap for even a made-to-measure suit, much less a bespoke one.

I have a tailor in Suffolk who now charges about £900 for a bespoke suit and that is nearly half the price of a decent London tailor

Sorry when I said to suit, I didn't mean to match 100% Is this a work related stipulation?

Years ago there used to be websites which sold suits made in India/HK/far East etc. I think some had UK agents who would come out and measure up if you needed too. I assume they are still around?
