Anyone done Rat Race runs?
Discussion
Having got all my OCR runs booked in for next year I thought I'd deal with the longer stuff before gap filling with 10k's - so booked the 3 Man V mountain/coast/lake rat race runs. Marathons over some pretty tuff terrain (and in/out of the sea!)
Anyone done them before?
I'm determined to keep around 220lbs in weight 12-14% BF (going to need a lot of food and lifting next year!) so expect to be one of the heavier runners.
Feels so good to be able to just dive into this stuff....few years ago I was 23 stone! Now I'm at a place where I ran a marathon on Saturday just because I had a free morning. Then big dead lift day yesterday, chest today and then focus on a sub 20 park run this sat and my next OCR race in 10 days.
Any other big/heavy runners? Seems we are few in numbers (once you start getting into the top 20% of any given run) - pity they don't have weight classes!
Anyway - for anyone way to heavy and thinking running around might help - get on it!
