Arthritic Neck - supplements?

Saw the quack a few weeks ago regarding ongoing discomfort in neck area and he diagnosed it as arthritis in about 90 seconds. Printed off a sheet of exercises to do (I have been doing them) and sent me on my way.

Wondered if anyone else had similar and if tumeric with black pepper or ginger supplements or anything worked with it?

Did he diagnose Rhuematoid or Osteoarthritis? If you're trying alternative/complimentary stuff, Turmeric is a decent anti-inflamatory and auricular acupunture seems to work - the US Air Force has done studies into it and uses it alongside conventional therapies. I thought it was Voodoo until I tried it on Osteo in my foot.
