Wide Fit Trainers

This is not a New Years, time to get fit sort of post! I’ve never been the fittest bloke and although running is really not my thing I swim where possible. Towards the end of last year my wife got me into Fiit classes on my phone/tablet and I’ve really enjoyed them. I find the competitive part very motivational without the practical considerations of actually having to leave home (life is busy!!)

However I’m realising that some appropriate footwear is now a must, some lightweight and easy to where, not a big heavy trainer/running shoe on other words!

Problem is I have very wide, hobbit-esque feet and none of the normal brands seems to fit.

Anyone got any suggestions for wide fit, lightweight training shoes?

I've got wide feet. I work out in Adidas ZX Torsion.

Extremely comfortable. Great gym trainers.

Will be lots on sale at the moment. There's a sticky at the top of The Lounge with the retailers we use.

A lot of brands offer wider sizes including New Balance, ASICS and Nike.
I have a wide forefoot and narrow heel so has taken some experimenting to find what works best for me. For running currently rotate a few pairs of Mizuno Waveriders.
I also bought lot of trainers either on sale.or via outlets to save a few £££.
As for a training shoe which is both roomy but so comfy I use them.for general walking too, Nike Winflo works well for me.

SD don't seem to say in the various items whether they are wide fitting or not. Don't have a product reference which would give a clue either. ie D/E or F as part of the reference

Thanks for this suggestion, went in to Sports Direct and asked for their New Balance stuff and after a bit of huffing and puffing tried a few options and they were perfect. Nice and lightweight and they actually fit!!
