Spaced out/Wooziness, lack of energy, heart beat.
Discussion
I had a bacterial chest infection over christmas, was on anti biotics from xmas eve for 7 days. Since then Ive had a very slight but varying in intensity woozy/dizzy/spaced out effect, lack of energy/knackeredness and occasionally notice my heart beat in my chest.
I went back to the doc last week and explained all this. He sent me for ECG (all fine) and blood tests for various things, diabetes, vitamin D deficiency and some others. They all came back ok.
But Im still getting the problems and wondered if anyone had had anything similar before I go back to see him if it doesnt clear up soon.
Cheers all.

Worth checking for carbon monoxide poisoning? Most often due to boilers or fires, but my wife had similar symptoms which turned out to be the turbo leaking fumes into the car. To be fair, it's most likely connected with the chest infection, but good practice to have a detector in the house if you have gas boilers etc. The ones that change colour are pretty cheap.
Cheers all.
I have a monoxide alarm at home that hasnt gone off. Car doesnt have a turbo.
Not sure if Kidney function was checked. I have 2 bottles of wine a week, one friday one saturday. More than recommended but not excessive I'd say. May be related possibly.
If it is a virus its taking ages to go. But as long as it does go, best option I guess!

Was the ECG just a point in time or long-term monitoring (week or month)? I passed out a couple of times a few years back. Point in time ECG revealed nothing. Long term ECG (device I wore for a week) showed a very fast heart rate for a short period (200+bpm). Next time that happened (I could feel my heart pounding) I went to A&E. Proper ECG at that point showed 220bpm rest heart rate. Now on drugs to control it
