After a 30 year lay off, I'm back jogging, been at it for the last 4 or 5 year. I'm up to about 5.5 mile runs, breathing a bit laboured, legs getting tired but I could do another couple of mile I guess. (I'm 66 used to do half marathons but now it's park runs and general training.)
What is noticed by my wife however is that when I get home I'm beetroot red in the face. Obviously exertion will increase blood flow but could this be a sign of an underlying problem. She reckoned I looked like a Swan Vesta yesterday.

I'm no doctor but if you have been running for 5 years and this is not the normal then something is up to cause it, always worth a check as you get older in relation to heart issues

Hope this helps.

PS a doctor is better trained than web warriors

Cheers
Not sure I've not always been very red after a run, it may well be that I'm going further and quicker now than 5 years ago. No where near what I used to manage though, 30 years ago.....

Windburn more likely at the moment.
