Anyone experiencing delay in recieving contact lenses?

I have my contact lense subscription with specsavers and they normally arrive first or around the first of the month every quarter (this time being due 1st April) and i still havent received them. When i rung up they said i wasnt on hold or anything and they are "going to be there any minute", this was yesterday. Wondering if anyone else is going without? I appreciate corona could be having an effect.

Bit of pressure on the postal service imho, more online orders etc as all shops shut other than food. Will turn up in a while I'd say.

Thought as much. Just does seem a little late.
On the wear glasses front i would however i broke my only pair and im due some new ones however obviously cant go and get new ones now. So i could do with them as i like to be able to see!

we currently have a back log at the mail centres before it even gets to the delivery offices. parcels are up around 200% at the moment with half the staff to deliver them. People are ordering essential stuff such as contact lens and medication to stupid stuff like trainers and bangles from um wuhan..

My Ophthalmologist said three weeks ago that there would likely to be shortages of lenses, I didn’t ask the specific reason why. They were ordering in six months worth for customers as a safeguard.

My local specsavers is open, could contact them directly and see if any chance of your glasses being fixed or if they had any lenses to tide you over.

Suspect im going to have to as ive still not received them. Although i suspect it will be tuesday at the earliest considering its easter weekend. Ill try them wednesday if theyre not here.

Just to put some numbers on it. At christmas Royal Mail normally sort around 68k parcels by hand over night at a mil centre. This week we've been doing around 86k by hand..

I’ve used daysoft for years but they’ve stopped selling the lenses so I’ve purchased from lensway.
It’s been 3 weeks so far since purchase.

I should have really ordered 2 months worth.

I run a mail order business (nothing to do with contact lenses) and we’re seeing up to a week on delivery for some 2nd class packets with RM. Not blaming anyone: as said upthread, it’s the extra volume of mail and reduction of staff that’s causing it and everything is getting there eventually.
