Covid 19 - Loss of Taste & Smell

Hi All,
I was off sick with work on the 23rd and 24th of March (just as the lockdown started) with temperature 38,5 and basically bed ridden for both days. It took a few days to get back to normal. However I lost sense of smell and taste just after this. And it's not returned. It's now been nearly 5 weeks. Most articles state it should come back after 7-14 days.
NHS sites say i should contact my doctors after 3 weeks.
I'm now doing the British thing of thinking they've got enough on their plate to call 111 or the doctors. However from a selfish point of view, this is having a lot bigger effect than i could of possibly imagined. Compounded with lockdown its pretty depressing to be honest.
So, has anyone had similar problems and have they got their smell back after 5+ weeks? Should I wait?
