Aching elbow.........

I have some kind of tentinitous in my elbows so get the odd burning pain that flares up now and again.

But last week the same elbow had a bad aching pain throughout the joint. Had very little strength in it and still had the sharp burning pains on top of it as well.

I've had a bit of a crick in my neck/shoulder too for some time but it got X ray'd and was told it was fine.

I feel like I'm about 80 (I'm 51) in my left arm ! I will go and see the doctor when I can to hopefully put an end to it.

Still aches now but not as bad, not much strength in it.

Any idea what it could be ?

Possibly Tennis Elbow/Golfers Elbow - depending on whether pain is inside or outside of elbow. You may be able to get a steroid injection for this but may have to push for it as some surgeries no longer offer them. It worked for me though.

Or possibly referred pain from the shoulder.

Until you see the doctor it's difficult to say.

I have something similar though also linked to issues from my rotator cuff...injuries I picked up in the gym that have become chronic and tend to flare up over time. I found physio was helpful in providing exercises and stretches

I thought tennis/golfers elbow was just the sharp pains though ?

Mine was both - aching from when I woke up then sharp pains occasionally depending on movement.

Ok cheers, I've never had the whole aching joint thing before - just the sharp pains.

It's a bit weird as I gave up a job at the end of March so been doing naff all for 6 weeks !!
