Coinciding with some annoying pins & needles / pain in my hand, this little oddity has appeared.

Ganglion cyst?

As above swellings that arise from a joint, especially the wrist, are usually ganglions. These are benign but can cause discomfort. Yours may be causing pressure on the median nerve which provides sensation to your thumb, index, middle and half of the ring finger, which would explain the pins and needles you’re experiencing.
