For the last few days I've been having plenty of cold drinks, mainly iced water but the odd orange juice, apple juice lemonade etc. Each quenching my thirst for an hour or two which I figure is normal considering the temperature. I'm not especially thirsty most of the time.

But today I could be drinking iced water continuously, I'm thirsty again immediately. I've had about 2 pints since 8 AM and am about to pop down to the kitchen again. Is this reasonable for the ridiculous heat or could it be a symptom of something?

It would be more of a concern if it wasn’t so hot!

It could potentially be Type 1 diabetes.

Prior to my ex girlfriend being diagnosed with it a constant raging thirst was one of her symptoms.

Its a simple test to have done, so i would suggest getting it done anyway, even if it is just to rule it out.

As above, get a test done if you're concerned.
I think people don't drink enough in general though.

I drink 8-10 litres a day but I'm also 150kg in Bodyweight and compete in strength sports which has a high demand on the body.
I've had the diabetic test as a precaution before and I'm fine, I just require a lot of water daily laugh

Are you sure you havent got a leak laugh

I think we can make exception during this hot spell, I normally make an effort to drink 2.5 - 3 litres a day, during this weather I'm drinking 4-5 easily, do have an active job though. If it carries on when the temp drops them it needs checking. 568ml to a pint so a little over half a litre just incase you aren't aware.

As I understand it you ae currently getting near tropical temperature. No one I've ever met in 25 years of living in the tropics drinks ice water. Try warm water, personally I drink warm lemon tea.
