Issues started back in late Feb. Woke up light fever, sweating and felt a jolt across my back.. For the following 2 weeks I suffered bad insomnia and woke up sweating enough to soke my shirt every night. That passed but I have still suffered interupted sleep nearly every night since, usually needing to pee after a few hours sleep and occasionally my heart racing at 130BPM+ for a minute or two.

Spoke to Docs back in March and he suggested overactive thyroid, had full blood count and thryoid checked. All came back ok. But symptoms are still present, the evening heart races have almost stopped, but exercising, my heart rate seems to be high with medium effort. I used to cycle 100+ miles a week. I still feel strong, but soon hit 150bpm with little effort and low breathing effort. If I push through more it seems to balance out, but find the high rate difficult for low intensity efforts. Resting pulse is around 60bpm and walking it can be around 90bpm. Medium effort just seems to push it higher than it needs to be.

Another strange symptom that has been present since late Feb, is a strange sensation walking. It feels like the floor isn't solid, like I'm walking on a mattress. This is worse indoors for some reason. It's not there when I wake and walk to the bathroom, but as soon as I brush my teeth, the arm movements seem to trigger this sensation. Almost like I don't quite have perfect control of my movements at times. I also get muscle spasms in my abdomen, arms and legs, nothing painful, just not something I'd had before

Spoke to Docs month or so back, had an ECG, that was OK. He thinks it's anxiety based, was presecribed some beta blockers for the anxiety. I tried them exercising, which have lowered my exercising heart rate by around 25bpm for medium efforts.

Wondering if the anxiety could be producing too much adrenaline when I don't need it?

Yes anxiety can cause all this and more.

Probably a good idea. Can remember acupuncture seemed to take a weight off my shoulders. Going away soon, hopefully de-stress doing some hill walking

Maybe you have a high natural heart rate.

My resting heart rate is around 50, but my max is around 205 and lactate threshold is around 185. Walking typical sees my heart rate around 90 too. My calculate max for an easy run is 169, for cycling 149 and swimming 143.

Were you measuring your heart rate while you were cycling before?
