Numbness in shin linked to knee
Discussion
Had this issue a while but trying to get into the Dr's is impossible and as its not urgent its pot luck if the Dr wants to see me.
I've had issues with my left knee patella tendon area for a couple years, before lockdown it got diagnosed as inflammation in the knee causing the pain but the NHS don't offer the treatment needed for it - shockwave therapy I think it was.
I regularly get sports massages which helps alleviate the pain but never fixes it.
I now take cbd oil which has helped a lot but I still get some issues.
Now I've got numbness in my shin a few inches away from the knee but when I sit on my knees to crawl under something I get a painful burning sensation in the numb area only if the tendon is being pressed on at the same time.
If I sit back onto my calves there's no issue but if I come up the pain comes back.
Any ideas what's going on?

You need a knee specialist, either physio or doctor. Impossible to say any more without having you in front of me.
Please bear in mind we are still in the middle of an epidemic and everything is stretched at the moment, with 'covid secure' regulations and distancing affecting nearly all aspects of the Health Service.

Was hoping someone had maybe had similar for some idea. Please bear in mind we are still in the middle of an epidemic and everything is stretched at the moment, with 'covid secure' regulations and distancing affecting nearly all aspects of the Health Service.
I get regular physio/massages (private) anyway but not fixing it.
I doubt I'd get seen any time soon as well given the circumstances.
Had a really painful knee for about 8 months, starts on the inside of my thigh into the knee through my shin and occasionally into my foot, on a pain scale most of the time it's a 7/8 sometimes 10, getting up from a chair or out the car, I know I have arthritis in the knee but my physio wants an x-ray on the hip as he thinks it could be referred pain.
Getting a deep tissue massage from Katerina tomorrow so not all bad
