Peleton sign up?

Mrs Nobby, is thinking about getting a Peleton.
They quote a figure online, but has anyone signed up at one of their physical demo stands, often located in Westfield type shopping centres?
My view, is that there must be an absolute mile of margin in this, like conservatories or double glazing. Are the folks on the stands in a position to pass on some of their commission, in the form of a discount?
Also, what are folks experiences like of the product?

I have been using the app throughout this year following lockdown. I already had an ex gym spin bike which I bought off ebay a couple of years ago.
Peloton is excellent and I have not rejoined my gym where I used to spin three times a week. So far its only cost about £12.00 for a months membership as they give you some free when you join which you can extend if you get creative. I watch using a lap top so plenty of screen, I found watching on a phone less immersing. Three or four times a week, loads of different instructors with different attributes, I love it.

Peleton have been quite effective in capturing the imagination of middle-aged women. Effectively they are selling a £250 spin bike with fancy wrapping to make it look like a £2000 fitness revolution, then charging £39 a month to use it in conjunction with their class videos / livestreams that other people do for free on YouTube.
I think you'd be much better served with a turbo trainer, a road bike and Zwift, Sufferfest etc. You can take the road bike off and use it to ride outside, if that takes your fancy. If you don't want to faff on with a bike and want something you and your wife can use without undertaking a 30 second bike swap and you still feel like dropping £2000, you could get a Wattbike Atom to use with Zwift, with the upside that you'll get a lot of your money back if you find that you don't want to do indoor training and you want to sell it.

I used to be very dismissive of Peloton and a huge fan of Sufferfest. However I am softening, mainly due to the leaderboards giving an element of competition. A friend has it and given how often it is used it seems good value to me.

But...
They’ve just (a couple of weeks ago) dropped the rrp of the current bike to £1750.
There will be a new, peloton bike+, model launched on Boxing Day, with a bigger screen and speakers and stuff at £2295.
Employees can get 15% discount, if you can find one of them; the shopping centre people are on low hourly plus commission.
Edited to say the bike+ seems to be available already. At least, you can order it on the website.
