Theragun - massage thingy

I get massively tight neck, shoulders, back and chest from working on a computer. I do yoga a couple of times a week, have stretches to do, take breaks from the screen etc etc, and also have fairly regular massage therapy... it never seems to really make much of a difference and it always goes back to being a problem, and ends up in pain. I've tried most of the recommended things, but then I see this Theragun product advertised and wondered if it might be of use to me. Anyone used one?

Yes they can offer relief.

if you look on Amazon etc they have cheaper versions which you can get for say 80-100 to try out as the TG is quite expensive I believe.

Just purchased a Renpho off Amazon Prime. It really does help, I was suffering from tight neck and some weird pulsing in my back and it sorted it right out. I use it after cycling just to avoid too much tightness. Theragun is by all accounts the platinum option, but at those prices..

I thought that the difference was that the proper theragun thing had a motor that worked a cam inside so that it has a much better motion over the cheap ones that are basically a rubber ball attached to a jigsaw

Are the couple of cheap ones mentioned above built like the theragun?

I don't actually know if that makes it better, I just know that the cheapest ones are just a motor with a ball on the end..

I got one of the theraguns ok last year, and it’s been great. Would certainly recommend it.

I tore a shoulder muscle and my husband got one for me. I can’t even hold the damn thing. And I don’t like it near my head - it’s too brutal - gives me a headache.
He uses it on his legs after a workout tho
