The end of free LFT covid tests - will people stop testing?

So to my surprise I read in the news that the free lateral flow tests will cost a possible £30 for a pack of seven which seems quite steep given the volumes these have been made in but anyway I'm concerned people will stop testing and this will not be good for getting the spread down, what are your thoughts?

Testing will fall off a cliff, positive cases will drop like a stone and the Government will declare that it was the vaccines wot done it.

About time. For months, people have been saying we need to stop testing.

It’ll be interesting to see how they sell this one to all the terrified though….

I had to pay £25 for 5 tests as a condition for entry into Guernsey.

We then realised that they were forced on us but only had to be used for ourselves. Nothing to upload or send to authorities.

They are still in my bedside cupboard.

Will everyone stop fugging testing!

Not due to happen until the end of June by which time Covid will be a distant memory - hopefully.

They will definitely stop as soon as people have to pay for them.

I suspect given mine and my wife's work our respective employers will continue to buy them in for us but if I had to pay myself I wouldn't do it to be honest about it.
