My wife had shingles a few months ago, which was very unpleasant and has left her really wiped out.
Any suggestions for a tonic or supplements that might help?

Usual suspects with vitamins (ie multi vit, C, D and B12) and eat a decent balanced diet with plenty of veg in there etc

Might it be worthwhile to get her to see the GP too and get bloods as there could be a deficiency in there causing this too

Seconded. I had shingles in February/March this year, and am only now starting to feel less exhausted.

I have also had low folate levels, so was prescribed a course of folic acid. I am still taking it now, but just 'over the counter' stuff.

There are other contributory factors in my case - I don't know how old your wife is, but being menopausal certainly didn't help me. Going back onto HRT (but a different type) has helped, however, as has improving my diet.

Definitely get her to speak to her GP. Hope she feels better soon.
