Bronchiolitis in my six month old son
Discussion
Hi All,
My son was admitted last night for a severe case of bronchiolitis - poor thing is not well and is on CPAP. I stayed with him last night and it was the most stressful night of my life… filled with mad rushes to get him on oxygen and transferred to a ward then his own room. It’s the first time I have ever felt like I couldn’t cope with the worry, it was awful. Just seeing him so upset and gasping just made me feel so useless.
He has stabilised now but is just so miserable. Fingers crossed he will improve over the next couple of days.
This is the second time in a month he has been admitted for bronchiolitis. Urgh.

My 18 month old spent 3 nights in Chelsea Westminster recently with RSV bronchitis, he was very poorly for a few days and was on oxygen and feeding tube .
Seeing him hooked up to all the Machines was sobering but he was in the right place and the care from the nhs was great. It was a long few days and we came out exhausted but so grateful.
All in all it was very Scary stuff.
