Fillings on the NHS

In September my dentist informed me that it would be prudent to have 2 fillings replaced at some point. The dentist recommended white fillings at £250 rather than NHS amalgam at £80, both figures from memory.

I then read that the EU is banning the production of amalgam in January 2025, so cancelled my appointment and thought I would wait to see what is offered.

I can't seem to find a lot of information about this, anyone got any info?

UK is not in EU, therefore ban doesn't apply in UK.
