Anyone using Jabra earbuds for running/fitness?
Discussion
Many years ago when running and fitness was a thing as I was training for various things, I used Jabra for music and fitness tracking.
I'm finally at the stage of ACL rehab where I'm running a bit again, and as much as I do hate running, being fit again does have its appeal, so I'm wondering if I get back into the Jabra world.
The ones I had a very outdated now, and it seem the full wireless Elite 8 gen 2 are the most up to date......anyone using them?
Only issue is I can't seem to find anywhere actually selling them! Am I being blind?

Seems these do heart rate - there is a comment regards comparing them to the Jabras.

I use the 7 series of the sport buds. I think they are really good and it surprises me they are stopping that bit of their business having just released a new version of the 8.
What app do you use for the fitness side of things? My Elite 8s have just arrived......I can't for the life of me get them to connect to the Jabra Sport app I used to use with my very old pair.....and the Sound+ app they tell you to download seems to be only about music.....not a single mention of fitness/working out?!
I'm worried that I've been stitched up here and the fitness side of things isn't a thing anymore?!? Despite all the reviews for these Elite 8s saying how great they are for fitness etc?
If you're just wanting distance tracking then the Strava app on a phone is free, if you want heartrate I believe Polar and Garmin chest bands can pair direct to a phone via bluetooth, but I've not tried it.
Most people go for a watch with all the sports functions built in. I'm only really familiar with Gamin but Polar, Coros, Apple and others will also all offer heart rate monitor (wrist measurement is less accurate than a chest strap but fine for most of us), virtual pacer, workout plans, etc. Many now include a Bluetooth music player too. If you go the watch route, DC Rainmaker is good for reviews.
I'll second the recommendation for Aftershokz bone conduction headsets too. The sound quality isn't as good as my earbuds but that's more than made up for by being able to hear what's going on around me. They're comfortable, will never fall out/off, an the battery lasts ages.

Thanks, now that Jabra is dead I'll look at some of those other options. Shame, getting back to "Excellent" fitness on the Jabra app was going to be a good goal! Just to update, I have found a pair of the Elite Earbuds that seem to be the last ones that were supported by the fitness app on Ebay (£30!)
It seems that as long as you don't delete the fitness app, it still works, so I'm hoping these buds might do the job for me, at least until the app itself stops working!
