My cousin had an altercation with a 'violin spider, I'd never heard of this until I googled it but apparently it's a frkkin Brown Recluse!
Anyway, the bite looks nasty!

Hope they're getting some proper treatment for it and not just waiting for it to go away.

Any big open leaking wound needs sorting correctly.

Yep he's treating it after a hospital visit, on the phone daily to the nurse to show recovery stages, they are happy with progress. Dressings and drugs all over the boat!
He managed to catch the spider and photograph it for identification which helped a lot

My mother got sepsis from a spider bite in the UK and needed antibiotics before it became life threatening, It can happen very quickly.

It was bacteria that got in from the bite that caused it.

I didn't see the pic, will ask if he still has it

He is on antibiotics too as I understand it, amongst other stuff to clean it etc.

He threw out the spider he killed, he spoke to 2 doctors and one, a specialist in insect bites, said she has seen these bites many times, hence the diagnosis

Someone I know once suffered very nasty effects from a spicer bite, his health really went down hill and he never fully recovered, with his body always struggling to regulate its own temperature.

I have always proved I am Billy Big bks and picked up spiders by hand before chucking outside.

I will now be using the pint glass and cardboard method.

I got bitten on the wrist by a brown recluse, when I first moved to the US. It took nearly a year to heal fully. Thankfully my health insurance covered the treatment.

bloody spiders

yellow sac spiders small but bloody awful

working in Iraq

these little critters would come into buildings at night looking for warm places & hide above your heads in fluorescent light fittings then drop down your neck if you were really unlucky .

I got bit on the palm of my hand under thumb , didnt notice it , felt an itch looked down saw a red mark like a wasp sting . Then over the next few days i ended up with a red mark about the size of a 10p . Necrosis damage went right down through the epidermis and took 8 weeks to heal . still have a red mark where it bit,

then at night Camel spiders

walking between buildings you would see a movement ....a horrible creature would emerge with long pincers .. and run at you ..Holy st you would run like crazy with this bd in pursuit of your shadow and they move fast .

ya big jessie !!

but I defy anyone encountering one for the first time not to leg it

Iraq orrible place with orrible things that want to eat you .
