Herceptin, heart damage and Ramipril

My wife has recently had treatment for breast cancer, and after surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy was left with Herceptin injections.
Her most recent injection was due a couple of weeks ago, however she was called and told to not go in for 6 weeks. After asking why, a nurse called her back and told her that her recent echogram showed an effect on her heart and that she had been prescribed Ramipril and should pick up the medication.
She has no more detail than that, and it seems almost accidental that she found out about the prescription. No idea on the heart damage.
Today a District Nurse called to take my wife' bloods. Again completely unexpected, and the District Nurse was as confused as my wife to find herself at a mobile and relatively well colleagues house. She mentioned something about Kidneys but thought something had gone wrong on the system so left to report back to the Doctor rather than taking blood.
Is there any medical professional who may be able to give some clue as to what might be going on with my wife's health, and more so the systems!?
