Pains in my chest
Discussion
As per title, when I walk (which is pretty fast!) or cycle I get a pain in my chest, it’s roughly nipple high, and about an inch deep.
I’ve had a mild heart attack 4 years ago, and I’ve reported to A&E twice, nothing found. It’s a similar pain, but further down the chest.
I have a streptococcus in the top of my lungs, that they haven’t managed to shift, but my consultant says it won’t be this?
At the same time it also aggregates my elbows?
Just to add, it’s never uncomfortable when I work out with weights.

Heart Attack - comes out of the blue, no warning signs, can happen in your sleep.
Angina - brought on by exertion, the classic case always given in every First Aid handbook is a pensioner overdoing it jogging for a bus or doing some strenous gardening.
The signs and symptoms are described almost exactly the same (chest pain etc), but its the when/why that gives clues to a First Aider as to which it is. Regardless, if your unsure, the assumption is always Heart Attack.
Go see your GP, right down what you've written to us above.

How old are you if you don't mind me asking?
I've started having chest pains which are like a sharp stabbing, squeezing pain under my left arm pit and around the front over the pec area. My arm went a little numb last time. It last about 5-10 mins or so. It's happened 3-4 times now and I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow. I'm 45 so still young(ish). Got to say that it's worrying me a bit to be honest.

My best advice for you is to report to A&E, you won’t need to sit in chairs, they will take you straight through to start tests. Taking a hell of a gamble asking on here OP especially with your history of an MI.
Go see your GP. More than likely you will be referred to a rapid access chest pain clinic or the like. No one can give you the correct advise on here, you need a detailed assessment and someone with you medical notes.

This isn t new, did I omit the fact that I ve reported to A&E twice since 2021, they ve never found anything, never even sent anything to my GP for a follow up either.
In that case reread my last sentence again. It’s impossible to know what the root cause is, based on the information provided. Go see your GP. I have a similar problem at times, and took a long while to work it out, how much caffeine do you have ?
That was my cause and it took waiting a long time to pick up a car from a dealership, like 7 or 8 hours drinking free coffee and eating Biscoff with a 500 mile drive that was hell in pain to work it out.

That s why I posted here, there will be people out there who ve had similar experiences.
There are myriad reasons for chest pain so please don’t take solace from other people’s experiences. You just need a cardio referral from your gp which you’ll get when you explain your symptoms. Badda said:

A forum is not the place for health answers though, getting checked out is, if nothing is wrong then look at other options.
