Hoping the PH collective can come up trumps here.

I am looking for a pair of prescription sunglasses for running/skiing/sailing. Have been looking at Oakley Sutro lite but not fixated on brand.

I don’t have confidence in the usual run of the mill opticians to give sound advice on realistic options, given that the lenses will need to be vari-focal, correct an astigmatism and deal with quite a strong prescription.

Can anyone recommend a specialist optician in London?

It s not what you’re asking but,

I m happy with vision express for Oakley, varifocal, astigmatism lenses.

Last twice I ve been told they offer refunds in 1st 6mths if not happy, but I find faultless.

(Not tried for sunglasses though but worth an ask)

FYI the lenses are not made in house in about an hour

Sorry, no help with an optician - however I was very impressed with my Maui Jim sunglasses - wrap around, astigmatism, etc - I recall the optician giving a quick explanation as to how they altered the prescription for the sides of your face as the glasses are a different distance from the focal point of your eyes etc.

Fully agree not cheap, but very nice glasses.

Used them all the time when we lived in London. Very very good at silly prescriptions.
