Anyone else use a CPAP machine . According to the instructions you’re supposed to use distilled water as opposed to straight tap water. Do you follow this advice and buy in bulk from say Amazon or something else ?

How much water does it use - a litre an hour or a litre a week? If it's a lot maybe look at Reverse Osmosis filtered water like the stuff that window cleaners use. You might find someone who will sell it to you in bulk.

Just normal water here. You just need to keep the heating plate clean and clear of limescale.

You don't have to use water but the addition of a humidifier adds moisture and warmth to the air delivered by CPAP machines, helping to reduce common side effects like dry mouth, nasal congestion, and throat irritation.

Thanks, I'll perhaps give that a go.

I've also read that Xylimelts tablets can help eliminate the issue, https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0084WTUCK?ref_=ppx_hz...

Might give these a trial.

OHHHHH! I have used one since May 2020 (was very severe at 92 events/hour) and was never given one. Wondered why the only way I can breath on my nasal pillow mask was to soak a tissue with Olbas oil and place it against the intake! Thank you! I will get in contact with the issuing department and badger them.

I use distilled in mine as it doesn’t use very much unless the heater is cranked up. A 1.5l bottle will last about 2 weeks. I buy in bulk from Amazon
