I keep seeing adverts for red light therapy for all sorts of things. Facemasks etc...
And now I'm getting bombarded by red light therapy for sinus conditions.
Now this one interests me, as I suffer with bad sinuses so have constantly got blocked nose and mucus (sorry, disgusting) that accompanies it.

These are the sort of products that I see:

Has anyone experience of red light therapy? Or is it all just promoted adverts that will do bugger all?

My wife tried something along these lines a few years ago for sinus problems. I was very sceptical. It appeared to have no effect.

What often happens is that somebody takes a very minor, and quite specific, effect observed in a study, extrapolates/over-states the effect and makes a product/therapy based on this marginal "evidence" to sell to desperate people.

I've seen similar ads, and I'm not encouraging them by clicking on the link even though I'm curious how much it is! hehe

As far as sinus issues go, how could an external low energy light source affect tubes within your skull...

So snake oil then.

They all seem to have loads of 5 star reviews, all not generated I'm guessing.

Exactly. Even if inserted up a nose, what the mechanism for any sort of change or therapy could be is a mystery.
