Hi, anyone here have a home gym set-up in a fairly small space? I've got about 110x260cm to play with and wondering it there's any decent all-in-ones for working all muscle sets to build strength.

I already have a Bowflex adjustable kettlebell which is superb and have got a lot of use out of it, but while there are hundreds of work-out tutorials at all weights to give every muscle group a thorough work-out, I'm starting to find it a bit boring now and don't want to start slacking. smile

Yeah, that's tight!

Is that the full wall-to-wall limit, or the available floor area within a larger room?

I'm not clued up on the gym equipment terminology; I suppose the term I am looking for is multi-gym - not racks with bars, but the type where all the weights are blocks in a stack and you use a pin at the appropriate point to set your weight and it's all done via cords mounted top and bottom.

I did used to have a Concept 2 rower in the space which fit fine, so was hoping a multi-gym and bench would also fit ? It will be close to a wall on one side but open on the other. I want it in this room as there's a big opening window which gets plenty of cool breeze without needing a load of powered fans.

Buy a fold up bench off amazon for about £80.
And a load of hex rubber dumbbells used off ebay.

Can do chest, back, triceps, biceps, shoulders, etc.

Bench will go in length wise and should be wide enough space to do chest press, etc.

Another project

Something like one of these?

Personally if I had your space I'd go for a walk mounted half rack with a barbell and bench

Thanks chaps. Phil, I hear ya about the dumbbells but they're just a different shape KB basically and I can do everything with those that I can do with a KB. I just feel a bit bored and fancy something different!

I think it is a cable machine that I'm fancying but it would have to be one with a weight stack rather than resistance bands as I'm not keen on how the latter feel. Is it something you get used to? Anyone have one of that type?

One of those cable pulley systems with weight stacks would definitely fit into the space, I'd just need a separate portable bench that I could store away or fold up. I didn't realise how expensive everything is now frown . Think I'll have to get on Facebook Marketplace for second hard gear frown . On a related note, I see that my Bowflex adjustable kettlebell which I bought second hand for £50 about 10 years ago (was £120 new from Argos at the time) is now £279 to buy it now and it's the exact same one. WTF.

Any recommended brands for the cable pulley ones to keep an eye for or are they all much of a muchness? smile
