I'd travel for the right surgeon.

I recommend and refer down to this chap from where I work in North Norfolk, he's based in Cambridge:

I had right and left leg total knee replacement surgery in May 2023 and May 2004. This was at Ashtead Hospital, Ashtead Surrey (near Leatherhead), a private hospital, and the surgeon was Mr. Dinah. All is very well. Critical to success is both pre and post op physiotherapy which I also did at Ashtead Hospital.

My neighbour has also had the same surgery on one knee, same surgeon same hospital, no problems.

Jonathan Webb did my knee surgery some years back. I recognised him at the first consultation, but it was only afterwards that I realised why he was familiar.

I'm a knee surgeon.

You could do a lot worse than Sean O'Leary in Reading.

And interestingly, "He played with Wasps, Bath, Saracens, Barbarians and the England B team (1988-91)."

I'd let him operate on me. I've done over 10,000 knee operations
