Morning all. To set the scene - I’m 52, 6ft3 and slim. With bad slouching posture. I never really notice until I see myself in photos.

I’ve been looking at these kind of wearable harness type jobbies that pull your shoulders back a little to take the strain off. Are these snake oil or worth a try?? If not, what’s the next thing to try?

Thanks!

Weightlifting - heavy or otherwise - would help. Helped my posture.

If they do anything it will result in weaker supportive muscles and ultimately worse posture.

Chiropractor has really helped my posture over last few years. I went originally for lower back pain, but I noticed after a few months I walk a lot more upright, with my head held up more

That would be my take.

OP, if I had to guess you spend a lot of time sitting? If so, its likely you have tight/weak core & hips. There are plenty of videos on youtube that can give you some exercises to do, but if you want more targetted guidance book a couple of sessions with a physio
