Sick to Stomach
Discussion
Anyone had virus or something taking them right down lately? Hopefully this is temporary.
I tend to look after myself diet wise with plenty of veg, fruit etc, don't eat meat so much anymore just fish.
Wife had it as flu like symptoms, having given a family member a long drive down to meet some relatives at a previous holiday spot to distribute some ashes
I didn't get the flu symptoms but increased the IBS type issues I already had unless its coincidental (feels like diverticulus but never confirmed).
I believe I've had issues with wheat intolerance so avoid it.
To sum that basically finding it hard to #2, I've in pain or discomfort at least with feeling of not passing.
In some what relief this morning after bouts of diarrhoea. Little mucus not blood. Sore throat. Had some stuff I've coughed up in little lump on occasion. Bit feverish but feeling a bit better now. Not lacking energy at the moment.
Same y/day but was coming to a head last few days of struggling, but I just don't want to eat much anymore now - maybe a good thing to let my system recover and just drink loads? Y/day had a little cereal, banana, few grapes and cheese/biscuit only
Feeling a bit better now finally, but not planning to really eat much today and just rest and recover.
Ok to take flu type powders does anything think?
Not seen doctors yet but thinking to skip work. Actually If I continue to suffer like this over time, thinking will have no other option but to end work permanently perhaps ( or push about reducing hours)
I'm fully paid in NI for future retirement, some savings, own home and cars etc.

Yes, I had very similar for 24 hours while in Egypt, the other half exactly the same for 48 hours back in the Uk, about a week apart.
After her bout we put it down as covid. She lost smell and taste, as did I.
No lasting effects, both woke after rough sweaty nights to nearly normal energy levels.
