Home Gym kit upgrade, please help me choose
Discussion
Hi folks,
I have a home gym, which I use frequently and really enjoy.
I have decided to treat myself to a bit of an upgrade, but looking on line, there is a bewildering array of choice and I am going round in circles. There are maybe three parts to the upgrade; I seek the advice of the PH collective on what to look at!
1) gym floor. The gym is on a second floor, it is joists, with chipboard floor, then carpet. I currently have some 20mm foam gym mats, which are a bit soft.
2) and 3) The mainstay of the gym is a Body Solid half rack at one end and a high-low pulley at the other end. I was thinking to either upgrade these two things separately, or go for an all in one.
For the pulley, I was thinking of something like this: https://mirafit.co.uk/mirafit-functional-trainer.h... But I wouldnt mind spending a bit more
For the All in one, maybe something like this: https://mirafit.co.uk/mirafit-m4-half-power-rack-w...
Or simply upgrade the half rack to a basic cage.
I'd be very happy to look at British-made if possible, I am certainly not wedded to Mirafit, despite the 2 links.
All suggestions welcome. One slight challenge is that the room is a little bit height restricted, but using Mirafit as an example, their 205cm height units should fit, but I might struggle to go much higher than that.
Many thanks in advance

I'll take the less exciting but equally important one...
I have these rubber mats from Cannons
They are 18kg each and solid for heavy lifting. They don't compress under weight or move under dynamic exercises and there is no thermal expansion/buckling in direct sunlight. They don't smell, don't mark and aren't too difficult to keep clean. I went for the 20mm rather than 30mm so they'd be a little easier to cut and I don't see why I would have needed the thicker ones.
I would definitely use the same again if I was setting up another space.
