Although I can still hear her in the worst episodes, but not sure any earplugs would stop that!!

maybe not the answer for the OP's wife..... but I struggle to sleep sometimes and so I started listening to the radio/podcasts etc in bed which helped, but it disturbed the wifes sleep so I bought a bluetooth headband with built in speakers which does the job perfectly, and doesn't have to cover my eyes which I wouldnt want..

Used Bollsen Life series earplugs for the last few years. You can get them direct or on Amazon. Look a bit like the Alpine ones listed further up. For total lockout on my wifes snoring they last about 4 months and then get some new ones. They are fine to use after 4 months but I like them when they are at their most effective!

These plugs are THE best you can get as disposables. You can pick them up from a lot of sales platforms including eBay in job lots.
You have to insert them correctly, roll them between your fingers and then insert deep in the ear canal and let them expand to create a seal. They can be reused but their efficiency wears down after about a week.
