so , thought this was a joke condition, however after several months of it not shifting and getting worse and worse I admit I need a plan.
It started off rather mildly after over doing it at the gym in February. However after demolishing a shed a few weeks ago its now worse than ever and hurts just lifting a cup of tea or brushing my teeth..
Had a massage from physio lady but that's not done a lot , is it a GP thing ?? can they do a steroid injection?? Or do I just have to do those arm exercises that i've seen on YouTube and give it a few months
All very annoying as I cant go to the gym at the moment and I really need to

The Tyler Twist cured mine.
I found this article years ago having tried all sorts of fixes and cures. It worked for me and pretty much everyone I've suggested it to. It's f
king painful to start with but you need to persevere. I'm not surprised its more widely know.

I bought a genuine Theraband red flex bar.

I go to the gym and have had a few impingement type issues over the years, physios can help but you need to go regularly for them to find the issue and begin treating it and it adds up, I'd highly recommend your wellness nerd on youtube:

Athlean X is also good for strain type issues.
Make a little routine, we always jump to try and fix the pain instead of the underlying symptoms.

I had it for over a year or so... bad enough I couldn't hold a glass in my left hand.
A month of physio on the company private health scheme did precisely nothing. So got a referral and saw a specialist.
One (VERY painful) injection later and I played golf the next week.
I had another injection many years later when it returned, and nothing since.

It takes time to heal, a LOT of time. You'll be looking in terms of many, many months.
Tennis elbow is a problem with the way ligaments/muscles attach to bone. Once the attachment is disrupted, it takes a long time for the body's natural healing to sort it out.
Don't expect a miracle, quick cure from anyone. And try not to make it worse or extend the healing time by doing too much too soon.

Three things helped me get rid of mine completely:
1. Voltarol (or equivalent) Gel applied a few times daily to affected area.
2. Heat wrap treatment over affected area a couple of times daily.
3. Tennis elbow support strap around forearm whilst doing anything strenuous to block pain getting to elbow.

I second this. the exercises and flex bar worked for me, was pain free within a couple of weeks. I found this article years ago having tried all sorts of fixes and cures. It worked for me and pretty much everyone I've suggested it to. It's f
