Toothpaste for tea stains
Discussion
Hi All,
I'm an avid tea drinker and will often have 5 - 7 cups per day. I had a hygienist appointment for the first time in a couple of years and opted for the more expensive clean which involves some sort of blaster machine, and wow! They look lovely. A really nice natural white without the artificial look of bleaching.
I use a Colgate Total Whitening paste. The "Total" bit means it has other added stuff that's good for teeth, and my teeth are generally good apart from yellow staining that builds up over time, so I don't want to switch to a purely whitening toothpaste that does not have other added benefits.
Can anyone make a recommendation for a paste that will remove tea staining? Can a toothpaste be too abrasive and damage the enamel if used over a long period?
Thanks,

I drink a lot of tea like the op and even regular trips to the hygienist didn't remove the stains so I ordered some firm bristled tooth brushes, a selection of Oral-B tubes of whitening toothpaste and scrubbed my teeth hard, they're now white (not that stupid white you see on people who come back from Ankara). I've got a bit of gum recession but I'm 64 now and for someone who drinks 6 or 7 cups of tea a day and a pack of wine gums my teeth don't look bad at all.
