Can these scales really do as advertised? I'm a little sceptical as to how accurate they could be.

The theory looks convincing but how could they differentiate between total body fat and visceral fat?

Any thoughts?

Indeed. It's an indication of how healthy you are. They work for most people. Outside of "most people" is body builders and rugby players, but that's pretty obvious, really. If someone weighs 25 stones and they eat crap and don't exercise, then chances are it's correct. biggrin

AFAIK the readings are affected by how hydrated you are. The fat pincers are more consistent.
