Professional athletes use it (illegally) to get bigger/stronger/faster etc. I am not interested in the illegal artificial products, but the natural herbal ones that try and stimulate HGH from within.

I don't know about those products specifically, but a general rule is that nearly all legal varients of an illegal subtance do not work anywhere near as well as the claims they make, if at all.

Plus, its not just illegal HGH that will cause negative side effects. High naturally occuring levels of HGH through suplemented stimulation or other (some health conditions can cause abnormally high levels) will have the same negative effects the illegal stuff, but probably to a lesser extent as the volume will be less.
