used to get cold sores on a regular 3 monthly basis and brought one these about 5 years ago, every time i got a tingle or past that stage i would give it double dose and it would stop the fekkers in about a day, told a few people who all swear by them but I have noticed now I haven't had a sore for two years could it have totally cured it or has my life become stress free since discovering pistonheds ?

If it works for you, good. But, some of the statements in that article are a little dubious, at best. It is only Infra-Red light, and you can get a lot of that from sunshine. Living in e.g. Africa won't make you immune.

And, yes, Zovirax needs to be given very quickly to make a difference. With a cold sore (or, in my case, Shingles), it is difficult to diagnose in time...

I agree....if you whack on the Zovirax at the first sign of the tingle it won't stop the sore developing, it just might stop the sore developing into a monster!! Still got the 8 day 'til it's gone problem too! Dubious that the light machine will stop a sore in it's tracks...might be worth a try judging by the OP experience...

Interesting....might also be worth a try!

I too have had a year or so where I've had more than my usual one or two sores a year. I put it down to a probable combination of stress (I've had a tough few years goin' on in my life...won't bore everyone with it) and crap diet...bloke living on yer own, not great when it comes down to following a good diet...but I try!!

Have you continued to take this supplement?
