I have managed to crack a rib last week, which is making sitting up and much moving, especially gym work very painful.

What's my best way, aside from Cardio (of which I can just about manage light running and cycling) to keep in shape?

I do quite a bit of weights each week, and a lot of core work, but possibly trainig with a bust rib may not be too good for me?

Or can I just train and put up with the pain?

Rest. No training. Trust me, I've broken my ribs more times than I care to remember, when they go wrong due to not letting them heal properly it's really not fun.

Just wait for it to heal. Injuries happen and are part and parcel of life for most fit people. It's important to learn to rest and recover without stressing about how much strength you might lose (not much in reality) or how long it'll take you to get back to the pre-injury level (not long in my experience). I've seen many running (my sport) careers cut short prematurely because the athlete wouldn't rest when injured and so turned something minor into something major.
