AFAIK it's an oil that plumps up the flesh/muscle.

This is correct, i dont think its as popular now as it once was, but its a quick way to get the impression of big muscles. Having read a fair bit about this substance back in the day, i personally wouldn't want to inject it into myself, but hey ho each to their own

Though wasn't it developed by a reasonably respectable bodybuilder as a means of pumping up any weak spots one might have pre-competition, as opposed to filling your entire bicep with the stuff as some have famously done?
