Thinking of joining a gym mainly to lose weight, a local place based at a hotel offers a relatively cheap deal if you jsut want to use it Friday/Saturday/Sunday.

Would 3 visits a week on consecutive days be worth while? Or would I be better off visiting more often or spreading visits out more?

Thoughts in no particular order:
-Depends how much weight you want to lose
-Depends what you do during the week outside of the gym
-Depends on your diet or changes in your diet
-Anything is better than nothing
-Depends on what you do there

For instance, when I was climbing once a week without any relevant training during other times, I still noticed a change in my physique and performance. Nowadays, I do more relevant training and thus my endurance and strength is better still.

You would be better off spreading it to every other day, so your body can rest and recover.

But as said above, it does depend on what you want to do.

Go on Fridays and Sundays. But the trick is to go every week. Every week

Sort your diet and get some trainers. That will help you lose weight, be cheaper than a gym and you can go any day.

If they're doing a cheap deal for just those days I would worry that there would be a lot of people taking it up and only going those days too so you might struggle to use the equipment you want.

My gym has a deal for families for the weekends, I like to chill out in the pool after a session so I completely avoid the gym Sat/Sun

I suspect that being a hotel the weekends are a bit quiet, and the deal allows use from 7AM so it shouldn't be too bad.

It's £385/yr as opposed to £600/yr for 7 day acccess, so it's significant.

DownUnder.

Where are you from? £32 p/month doesn't sound cheap by any stretch of the imagination. No option to join a DW/Total fitness etc... Or even check out the gym group if you work in a city centre.

This may sound cheap but try the pay as you go type none chain gyms or even any council facilities which may be less busy than the membership option places.
