Recommend me a belt for attaching weights..
Discussion
I need to purchase a belt for attaching plates (up to 2 20kg discs). Anyone got one or can recommend one or even where to purchase from. I don't mind paying for the best quality - been using a Technogym fabric belt at the local gym - attached a 15kg disc - started tricep dipping and the plate came away after the first few reps - it is sort of a plastic and metal quick release clip jobbie, brilliant idea but not suitable for heavy use....as my toes nearly found out
Ta much

Always found the Maximuscle ones to be pretty good and sturdy. People use them at Bath Uni gym for over 20kg, and when I've used it, it grips really well and is comfortable. According to Maximuscle it will hold 60kg.

Bit pricey but you can probably find it cheaper elsewhere.

That technogym belt isn't designed for dips. It's to be used with the technogym kinesis machine. People were using it at one of the gyms I work at (including me) for dips, and it was injuring people (including me - ripped a finger off by trying to undo a clip that was in the wrong place whilst under load) until it broke by having too much weight attached.

Seen loads of people (including me) using it for dips with 20kg plates attached. I used it again last night for pull-ups with a 10kg plate - i'm just a bit more wary of it now. Really need to invest in a proper dipping belt me thinks
