So I went to the doc's today about a pain down below

As I have had a very tender potatoe for around 6 - 8 weeks. As I'm sure some chaps can appreciate I have been sweating a lot over this fearing the worst and putting off going to the gp's but as my friend has just been diagnosed with T.C and after a lot of nagging from the wife I finally went and had it checked out today.
After a very uncomfortable examination as it is a bit sore plus the fact that another chap had his hands on my tackle it appears that I have somehow managed to strain it by either sitting down or crossing my legs etc.
I cannot express the relief that I am experiencing now that I know its nothing too serious.
A valuable lesson though chaps, if in doubt get them checked out.

Good to hear but 6-8 weeks is too long,
From my experience you need to act straight away that delay could cost you your life.
When I first went the docs and was told it was a torsion injury from heavy lifting to having abdominal spread, to my heart and both lungs and my main artery was only six weeks!
Because of the delay at the start it turned what should have been three months to a year has turned into six years and many brushes with death.
I am glad it worked out though believe me it is much better than the alternative

I've experienced similar, got very worked up to the point of flipping out after a night on the beer. docs next day, referred to hospital, nothing to worry about.
I've never since let myself worry or be afraid to visit the doc at the first sign.have had my meat & veg inspected a few times now and feeling a bit silly is much more preferable to the alternative.

(Though this may or may not be true). Life's too short to worry about a qualified doctor copping a feel, it's probably the 5th pair of plums he's felt that day.

(2) I haven't decided which is worse tbh. A male or female examining your private regions because:
(a) a male doc will understand how painful it can get if you accidentally pinch one while checking the epididydidydidymis yet having a man cup your scrotum isn't my idea of an enjoyable day out
(b) a female doc will have softer hands but having a feminine face very close (within say 60cm) to your bare genitals could cause unnecessary arousal which would be embarrassing especially if she were to say, "Well, you certainly don't need Viagra..."; note that you may be checked standing up with your trousers around your ankles and her kneeling in front of you... this immediately makes you think of particular acts. All I remember is that when I looked down and saw her nice long blonde hair about 30cm from my penis, I started listing in my head Labour policies that ruined Britain.

Testicle.And having the doctor cop a bit of a feel (and yes, you'll be the 5th that morning and probably the youngest too) and indeed prostate check is NOTHING compared to having a smear or colposcopy done. Consider yourself lucky (unless you have a cervix in which case I commiserate) and go to the doctor if anything acts or feels weird.

Had to get plastered before I would tell anyone, and even then I only told a couple of close mates; who despite being pretty far gone at the time gave me the right advice and made me go to the docs (ripped the s
t out of me afterwards).It was suggested I bring a video camera. Hadn't been to the GP in 5 years and last time I did I remember her being an attractive doctor in her late 20s... Unfortunately she was replaced 3 years ago by Doctor Aqbul

k felt like when it was swollen? Was it hard to the touch or soft? I had a swollen bk a while back and called NHS24 and the doc seemed sure it was a hydrocele and as the swelling reduced a good bit(but not fully) and Ive been busy with work and family i never got round to visiting my GP. Reading this topic has got me bricking it now and I'm phoning my GP first thing tomorrow as the swelling has not fully disappeared and there feels like theres defo something there . In conclusion: be glad it's only a finger, boys.

I'm familiar with the smear (not personally!) and yes the breast biopsy involves taking a chunk out of the breast WITHOUT ANAESTHETIC! Yes, having a prostate checked is nothing compared to the above! It's more the embarrassment than anything tbh.
